Trade Assistant

Pearl Recruitment is currently seeking an experienced Trade Assistant for our client who is a WA-based manufacturing business specialising in a range of prefabricated products and industrial equipment. This position offers an immediate start, plenty of overtime and ongoing work. 

This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a strong workshop/fabrication background and current forklift licence to join a business that has recently moved into a new premises with state-of-the-art equipment!


Workshop Trade Assistant
Hazelmere Location
$35.00 hr + Super + Penalties
Monday to Friday, 6:00AM - 4:00PM
Opportunity for Saturday OT + Immediate Start

Job Duties:

• Assist fabricators / welders with new assembly and maintenance works
• Operate forklift to move heavy equipment and materials in workshop
• Load/unload structural steel from trucks with forklift 
• Occasionally pick and organise parts from stores and prepare structural steel for transport
• Use various hand and power tools to cut beams and RHS, drill holes
• Maintain clean and organised workshop
• General yard duties as needed 

  
Requirements:

• Forklift licence and previous operating experience 
• Experience using hand and power tools (such as grinders, drills, impact drivers, rattle guns, pop rivet guns & measuring tools) 
• Current driver’s licence and reliable transport
• Ability to pass a medical and drug/alcohol test
• Previous experience in a fabrication or workshop environment
