We are seeking an experienced Excavator Operator for civil construction works in the Newcastle region.
Key responsibilities:
- Operate excavators safely and efficiently
- Complete trenching, bulk earthworks and detailed excavation
- Work around underground and existing services
- Conduct daily plant inspections and basic maintenance checks
- Follow site plans, levels and supervisor instructions
- Assist the wider civil crew when required
- Maintain safe exclusion zones around operating plant
Required experience:
- Previous excavator operating experience on civil projects
- Excavator ticket or relevant competency
- White Card
- Current Australian driver licence
- Ability to complete detailed excavation safely
- Experience working around services is preferred
