Operations Manager – Aviation Security (6-Month Fixed Term)

Location: Melbourne Airport
Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM (On-site)

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to join our Aviation Security team at Melbourne Airport on a 6-month fixed-term contract. This role is pivotal in building and maintaining a strong strategic and operational relationship with our client, supporting the achievement of contractual KPIs, and ensuring compliance with aviation security standards.

You will lead operational excellence, oversee performance auditing, and drive continuous improvement initiatives to deliver exceptional service. This position requires a proactive leader who can foster a culture aligned with ISS core values: Honesty, Entrepreneurship, Responsibility, and Quality

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and motivate a high-performing team to deliver world-class aviation security services.
• Partner with the client (APAM) to ensure contractual compliance and service excellence.
• Monitor and report on operational performance against KPIs.
• Drive continuous improvement and champion change initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory and contractual obligations.
• Promote a strong safety culture and uphold ISS Leadership Principles.

• Commercial acumen and ability to manage budgets.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Preferred: Diploma or Degree in Business or related field.
• Experience in aviation or security operations highly regarded
