At Tennis Australia, we’re creating a more playful world through tennis – for everyone.

From grassroots to Grand Slams, tennis brings people together, inspires communities, and builds champions on and off the court.

We’re a team of imaginative and passionate people who believe in the power of sport to make a difference. If you're ready to help us serve up real impact, we’d love to hear from you.

We’re committed to reflecting the communities we work and play in. We strongly encourage applications from women, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, LGBTQI+ individuals, people with disability, and people from culturally diverse backgrounds.

About the role

This is a pivotal role shaping how Tennis Australia attracts, hires and onboards talent to ensure we are future ready.

As Talent Acquisition Manager, you’ll lead the end‑to‑end recruitment and talent pipelining function across Tennis Australia and our Member Associations. Reporting to the Director, Organisational Development & Talent, you’ll own the talent acquisition strategy and translate it into practical, high‑quality recruitment outcomes across a diverse workforce, from corporate and commercial roles to large‑scale event recruitment for the Australian Open and Summer of Tennis.

You’ll lead a capable TA team and work closely with hiring managers, People Partners and senior leaders as a trusted advisor. This role requires someone who can balance big‑picture workforce planning with hands‑on delivery, operate confidently in fast‑paced environments, and continually evolve how recruitment is done.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced TA leader who wants to build sustainable pipelines, lift hiring capability across leaders, and deliver an engaging, inclusive candidate experience at scale.

Reporting to the Director, Organisation Development & Talent, in this role you will:

  • Lead Tennis Australia’s talent acquisition strategy, aligned to workforce planning, future capability needs and organisational priorities
  • Partner with senior leaders, hiring managers and People Partners to deliver highquality recruitment outcomes across a wide range of roles
  • Build strong talent pipelines and pools, supporting internal mobility, career pathways and future capability needs
  • Champion diverse and inclusive hiring practices, minimising bias and improving representation through recruitment outcomes
  • Oversee the endtoend recruitment lifecycle, from attraction and sourcing through to offer and onboarding
  • Design and support largescale, timecritical recruitment for the Australian Open and Summer of Tennis
  • Ensure a strong, consistent candidate and hiring manager experience, protecting and enhancing the Tennis Australia employer brand
  • Use labour market insights, data and reporting to improve decisionmaking, measure success and adapt to market changes
  • Lead, coach and develop a highperforming Talent Acquisition team
  • Strengthen hiring capability across the organisation through education, tools and insights
  • Manage recruitment vendors, agencies and technology partners to ensure value and performance
  • Continuously improve systems, processes and governance to ensure compliance, speed and quality

About you

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Significant experience leading talent acquisition in a complex, multi‑role or high‑volume environment
  • Strong stakeholder skills, with the ability to influence leaders and deliver outcomes without creating unnecessary friction
  • A passion for building fair, inclusive hiring practices and improving diversity outcomes
  • Experience balancing strategic workforce needs with operational delivery
  • Confidence using market data, insights and analytics to shape TA strategy
  • Proven experience leading and developing a capable TA team
  • Strong judgement, adaptability and the ability to deliver under time pressure, especially during peak periods and major events
  • A strong focus on continuous improvement, ensuring solutions remain relevant, scalable and impactful into the future
  • Hold (or be willing to obtain) a current Police Check and Working with Children Check
  • Preparedness to be flexible in regard to working hours and arrangements relating to work associated with Tennis Australia

What’s to love?

  • Career development with a range of formal education and on the job training opportunities
  • Monthly health & wellbeing activities with access to CorePlus Pilates
  • Onsite gym, tennis facilities & free onsite car parking
  • Salary packaging & a range of discounts from our sponsorship partners
  • We are proud to be recognised as an employer of choice for women by WORK180
