This role reports to the Local Service Unit Manager and collaborates closely with global and regional SCM teams.
How you’ll make an impact:
You will develop and execute the local Services SCM strategy, aligned with global Hitachi Energy service strategies and target, build a robust, complaint, and competitive supplier ecosystem covering installation, retrofit, testing, commissioning, logistics, and specialist services, proactively identify and mitigate supply, cost, quality, and delivery risks across the service portfolio.
You will act as a key contributor to tenders, RFQs, and major service contracts, ensuring competitive pricing, back‑to‑back terms & conditions, and healthy project cash flow, provide accurate costing and supply chain insights to support Service Sales and bid teams, lead or support supplier negotiations to drive total cost of ownership improvements, oversee sourcing, purchase requisitions, purchase orders, and order acknowledgements within ERP and procurement tools.
You will lead local and overseas procurement, logistics, freight forwarding, customs clearance, and site delivery - ensuring HSE and compliance requirements are met, ensure smooth coordination between supply chain, project teams, service leaders, and suppliers during execution, establish, negotiate, and manage framework agreements and service level agreements aligned with corporate policies.
You will drive supplier qualification, performance evaluation, and continuous improvement, ensure supplier compliance with quality, sustainability, safety, and ethical standards, ensure full compliance with internal procedures, financial controls, and external regulations.
You will apply and continuously improve SCM standards, tools, and processes (including ERP and sourcing platforms), champion safety, integrity, and operational excellence in all supply chain activities.
You will be responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.
