The Opportunity
We’re looking for a Structural Engineer to play a key role in delivering structural design and analysis across a range of transmission & distribution projects, supporting major utilities, renewable connections and industrial HV clients. You’ll bring strong technical capability, a collaborative mindset, and confidence working across multidisciplinary teams to deliver safe, practical and high-quality outcomes
What you’ll do
In this role, you will contribute structural design across the full lifecycle of high voltage substation projects — from planning and design through to construction support and commissioning. Key responsibilities include:
Work in a high impact, market-facing and structural engineering delivery focused role
Manage ongoing communication and highly effective professional relationships with local clients
Ascertain specifications and evolving client requirements
Proactively determine, manage, monitor and control scope of works
Ensure timely and quality of delivery for project and Structural engineering work in support of relevant technical, commercial and regulatory standards – and in alignment with schedules and budgets
Manage effective stakeholder relationships, both internally and externally
About you
Bachelor degree (Civil/ Structural Engineering)
Strong expertise in Structural engineering and design documentation, including sound working knowledge of relevant Standards and Codes
2+ years’ industry experience on Australian structural engineering projects, ideally in a consulting environment
Proficient in the use of engineering software tools such as Space Gass, Toolkit, ETABS, RAPT, Strand7
Experience in effectively delivering multiple, concurrent projects ranging and scale and sector
Adept in cross-discipline project delivery and an effective collaborator with all key engineering disciplines
Highly developed customer-focus,teamwork, interpersonal and communication (written and verbal) skills.
