Due to a strong demand for structural services, we are looking for a Structural Engineer to join our growing Rockhampton office.

The role

This is a dynamic role blending technical design, documentation, client coordination, and site exposure – no two days are the same.

As a Structural Engineer, you will contribute to design delivery from concept through construction across a diverse portfolio including residential, commercial, industrial, education, civic, and coastal/cyclonic projects.

You will collaborate with our multi-disciplinary teams and gain real project exposure, mentoring and the support your need to progress toward becoming a Registered Professional Engineer of Queensland (RPEQ).

Key responsibilities include:

• Producing and reviewing structural designs, calculations, and documentation to NCC and Australian Standards (concrete, steel, timber, and masonry; wind code experience advantageous).
• Preparing clear design reports, specifications, and documentation as required.
• Reviewing documents and providing clear mark ups for coordination.
• Undertaking site inspections, responding to RFIs, and supporting construction-phase queries.
• Contributing to quality assurance, delivering to program and budget, and supporting continuous improvement of systems, templates, and workflows.
• Collaborating across disciplines to deliver integrated outcomes for clients.

About you

We are seeking a proactive, organised engineer who enjoys variety and teamwork.

You will have:

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil/Structural Engineering (essential).
• Minimum 3-5 years+ structural design experience.
• Experience in residential and suspended concrete slab design (essential).
• Proficiency in Revit (desirable)
• Strong knowledge of AS codes and the NCC, with confidence across concrete, steel, timber and masonry.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with clients and contractors.
• Based in Rockhampton (or willing/eligible to relocate – relocation support considered).
• Full Australian work rights
• Ambition to progress to RPEQ (with our full support).
