We are seeking a driven Structural Engineer to join our Brisbane team and support the delivery of diverse structural projects across the mining and resources sector. This role is ideal for an engineer with 4+ years’ structural engineering experience, strong design capability and a proactive approach to delivering successful project outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute structural design tasks, ensuring adherence to design specifications and standards.
  • Collaborate with senior engineers, project managers, and other stakeholders to develop and refine designs.
  • Provide technical support throughout the design phase, including calculations, modelling, and documentation.
  • Ensure all designs comply with safety requirements and Australian Standards.
  • Identify and assist in resolving design challenges and issues.
  • Prepare and review technical documentation, reports, and drawings.
  • Liaise with clients, contractors, and suppliers to ensure design requirements are met.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Structural Engineering or a related field.
  • 4-7 years of experience in structural engineering, with a focus on detailed design within consultancy environment.
  • Strong understanding of structural design principles and methodologies.
  • Proven experience in executing design tasks under the supervision of senior engineers.
  • Onsite experience in mining environments desirable.
  • Space Gass, Strand 7, Navisworks, AutoCAD, Microsoft Suite experience advantageous. 
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across multidisciplinary teams.
  • Proficient in relevant engineering software and tools.
  • RPEQ or working towards registration
