Role Details:

Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, you will work across the full paper manufacturing process from stock preparation through to finishing. You will handle both planned maintenance and urgent breakdowns, helping keep production on track in a complex, high-speed operation.

You will play a key role in keeping critical equipment such as refiners, rollers, pumps, gearboxes, and conveyors operating smoothly and safely.

What You’ll Do:

  • Keep production moving through hands-on preventative and breakdown maintenance.
  • Diagnose, repair and align rotating equipment, including pumps, conveyors, and rollers.
  • Maintain and rebuild plant machinery used in pulp and paper manufacturing.
  • Install, upgrade and fine-tune mechanical systems to improve reliability and uptime.
  • Support rostered on-call work and use SAP (CMMS) to manage maintenance notifications.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement projects that enhance plant performance and safety.

What You’ll Bring:

  • Trade qualification – Certificate III in Engineering (Mechanical) or higher.
  • Strong experience in industrial maintenance, ideally within pulp and paper, printing, packaging, or similar continuous process industries.
  • Proven ability in fault finding, troubleshooting, and repair of rotating and process equipment.
  • Welding and fabrication skills are highly regarded.
  • Additional tickets such as forklift, EWP, or rigging are advantageous.
