What’s on offer?

We’re looking for an experienced Senior Project Engineer to support the successful delivery of a major infrastructure project in New South Wales for our Eastern Region Construction (ERC) business. This is a key role where you’ll bring your technical capability and leadership together to help drive safe, high-quality outcomes for our clients and communities.

Working closely with the Construction Manager and broader delivery team, you’ll play a critical role in coordinating day-to-day project activities, forecasting, programming, and ensuring work is delivered to the highest standard and within budget. You’ll be across multiple work fronts, supporting teams on site and keeping delivery moving in a practical and efficient way.

What you’ll do

  • Support the delivery of works and be responsible for safety, quality, cost and program outcomes
  • Provide leadership and direction to engineers, supervisors and subcontractors
  • Work closely with the Construction Manager to plan, program and deliver the project
  • Monitor project performance, including costs, progress, forecasting and programme
  • Identify risks and resolve issues early to keep delivery on track
  • Support contract administration, procurement and subcontractor management
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal teams, clients and stakeholders

How you’ll connect to the role?

We’re looking for a Senior Project Engineer who brings solid experience in civil construction and understands what it takes to deliver complex infrastructure projects. You’re confident working across multiple work fronts, managing competing priorities and keeping things moving in a dynamic environment.

You take a practical, hands-on approach and are comfortable leading from the front, supporting your team, solving problems and making decisions when it matters. You know how to bring people together, communicate clearly and build strong, trusted relationships.

You care about safety, take pride in delivering quality outcomes and enjoy being part of a team that supports each other and looks for better ways of doing things. This is a great opportunity to step into a role where you can influence outcomes, build your capability and continue to grow your career as part of a supportive and high-performing team.

Our people share the same set of values that keep us REAL. Respect, Energy and Effort, Attitude and Leadership encapsulate what we stand for at Fulton Hogan and encourage us to foster a diverse and inclusive culture where we listen to, care for, celebrate, and respect everyone.

We are committed to reconciliation and building and nurturing respectful relationships with First Nations peoples. Through our First Nations Engagement Strategy and Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP), we aim to promote opportunities, cultural understanding and partnerships that celebrate and acknowledge the contributions of Indigenous communities.

If our values resonate with you, please submit an application for the position. If you’re not sure that you meet 100% of the selection criteria, that’s okay, we would still like to hear from you and potentially discuss how your skills could be utilised at Fulton Hogan.

For over 90 years, Fulton Hogan has been delivering high-quality infrastructure to improve the lives of people every day. Our 10,000+ team works in every kind of weather and environment, creating, connecting, and caring for communities across Australia, New Zealand and the South Pacific.
