Aurora Dairies are currently seeking a Senior Farm Hand (or Farm Hand) for a dairy farm in near Elizabeth Town, Tasmania, located 20 minutes from Deloraine.
This farm is approximately 650ha with 320ha under 6 centre pivot irrigation system peaking at 1250 cows, through a 54 bail rotary shed with ACR’s, weigh scales at dairy exit, auto teat spray and auto drafting with a Delpro computer system able to individually feed to production.
The farm is 100% Spring calving beginning in mid-July with a mixed size herd with both medium & large frame cows.
The farm runs 3 herds most of the year and use Halter to assist with easy entry & exit from paddocks and dairy.
The farm is predominantly pasture based with a big focus on safety, communication, teamwork, animal health and pasture management.
Accommodation may be available for the right candidate and there could be opportunities for employment for your partner on one of our nearby farms, if required.
