The Opportunity

Due to the ongoing success of our Australian operations, our Melbourne Transport team have a need for additional Roads / Highways / Civil Designer capability. We are inviting applicants for several roles that will be tailored to the candidates at the levels of Senior or Principal Technologist / Engineer. 

Your responsibilities will include:

• Complete road and civil design development – with a strong focus on development and delivery of a complete integrated object-based model production using OpenRoads
• Integration with multi-disciplinary modelling processes, including digital engineering management processes
• Participation in safety in design assessment and review processes
• Technical review and supervision of less experienced designers and engineers as required

Your background, skills and experience should include:

• Demonstrated experience in 2D functional design, and 3D road and civil modelling, for arterial roads and freeways – including roundabouts, signalised intersections, and freeway interchange designs
• OpenRoads experience is highly desirable; other software experience may be considered
•  Recent application of the current Department of Transport and Planning (DTP), AustRoads and PTV guidelines on major projects is necessary
• Experienced in the use of ProjectWise for the management of design models and documentation
• Diploma, Advanced Diploma or Bachelor of Civil Engineering (or equivalent qualification)
