Our Canberra team is working on small, medium and large projects across a range of sectors, including projects in Defence and DFAT. But we have a national team approach to all our projects, which means you will work on projects across Australia, not just projects in the ACT, ensuring you gain a breadth of experience across a diverse range of projects and industries.
Key responsibilities
The opportunity to work on iconic projects within a multi-disciplined engineering team to deliver a range of civil engineering design projects.
Carry out assigned project and design work as part of an integral team adhering to technical and commercial standards.
Manage ongoing communication and highly effective professional relationships with clients;
Lead and deliver current civil engineering projects from inception through to construction in support of technical and commercial standards, and within time constraints and cost budgets;
Work in a varied, hands-on role with a leadership angle across design management, superintendency and site surveillance.
Delegate and supervise the work of junior engineers.
Partner effectively with internal and external stakeholders and be committed to team approach and outcomes.
Bachelor to Masters’ level degree in Civil Engineering.
Chartered status with Engineers Australia (preferred), or willingness to obtain with WSPs support.
Solid industry experience working on Civil engineering projects in a consulting environment within Australia.
Well versed in effectively delivering multiple, concurrent projects ranging in scale and sector, e.g. commercial, residential, industrial, land development, subdivisions and infrastructure/roads;
Strong client relationship management and project management skills;
Sound working knowledge of relevant local Standards and Codes (AS/NZS 3500, NCC etc.);
Demonstrated proficiency in using Design software eg; 12D, Civil 3D etc.
Eligibility to obtain Australian Defence security clearance is essential – only eligible to Australian Citizens (Permanent Resident, NZ Citizens & Visa holders are not eligible).
Highly developed customer-focus, leadership, teamwork, interpersonal and communication skills.
Drainage software experience preferred.
