We’re looking for a Senior Associate Geotechnical Engineer / Engineering Geologist to join our growing Geotechnics & Tunnels team in Melbourne. This is a career-defining opportunity to lead complex projects, work with respected technical experts, and help shape critical infrastructure across transport, energy, water and urban development.

You’ll play a key role combining technical excellence, project delivery, and client engagement, while mentoring the next generation of geotechnical professionals.

 

What you’ll do

  • Lead the design, management and delivery of geotechnical investigations and studies
  • Provide technical leadership across complex multidisciplinary projects
  • Prepare and review high-quality technical reports and client deliverables
  • Build strong client relationships and contribute to project pursuits and proposals
  • Oversee project scope, budgets, and delivery performance across multiple projects
  • Mentor and guide engineers and geologists, fostering technical excellence
  • Champion safety in design and promote a proactive safety culture
  • Apply innovative approaches and digital tools to solve complex ground engineering problems 

 

About you

  • Around 10+ years’ experience in geotechnical engineering or engineering geology
  • Proven experience delivering and managing complex geotechnical projects
  • Strong capability in geotechnical analysis, investigation and design
  • Experienced in preparing and reviewing detailed technical reports
  • Demonstrated ability to lead teams, mentor others and manage project delivery
  • Strong client engagement and business development capability
  • Degree qualified in Civil Engineering, Engineering Geology or similar
  • Chartered (CPEng) or working towards it (highly regarded)
