What’s on offer?
Garfield Road East Upgrade is one of the key transport infrastructure upgrades supporting growth in Sydney's north-west. The project will transform the existing corridor into a safer, higher-capacity road network, improving travel times, accessibility and transport connections for the surrounding community.
Key project works include:
Expansion of Garfield Road East to four lanes
New and upgraded intersections along the corridor
Improved walking and cycling connections
Bus priority measures to improve public transport reliability
Upgrades that increase network capacity and reduce congestion
Improved safety and accessibility for the local community
To support the successful delivery of this significant project, we're seeking a Safety Coordinator to join our Eastern Region Construction (ERC) business in NSW. This is an important role where you’ll help ensure our safety systems, processes and culture are embedded across the project, supporting teams to deliver work safely and responsibly.
Working closely with project teams and operational leaders, you’ll play a key role in coordinating safety activities, supporting compliance requirements and promoting continuous improvement across the project.
What you’ll do
Support the implementation and maintenance of project safety systems and processes
Coordinate safety reporting, inspections, audits and documentation requirements
Assist with incident investigations, corrective actions and close-out activities
Monitor safety performance and help identify opportunities for improvement
Support project teams in meeting safety obligations and compliance requirements
Promote a positive safety culture through engagement, communication and coaching
How you’ll connect to the role?
We’re looking for someone with experience in a safety, compliance or coordination role within construction, infrastructure, or a similar operational environment. You understand the importance of strong safety systems and how they support successful project delivery. You’re organised, detail-focused and comfortable managing multiple priorities across both site and office environments. You take a proactive approach, enjoy working with people and are confident supporting teams to achieve positive safety outcomes.
You build strong relationships, communicate clearly and lead by example. You’re collaborative, approachable and genuinely committed to creating workplaces where everyone can perform at their best and return home safely.
