The Role

HMR is seeking experienced Raisebore Drillers to join our mining team. In this hands-on role, you’ll operate raiseboring rigs safely, efficiently, and with precision, ensuring equipment runs smoothly and production targets are met.

Working as part of a skilled crew, you will manage rig operations, conduct maintenance, troubleshoot equipment, and assist with site setup and rig moves. This role is ideal for dependable, hands-on drillers who take pride in their work, enjoy challenges, and are looking to grow a long-term career in the drilling and mining industry.

Responsibilities

• Operate raisebore rigs, ensuring safe, precise, and efficient drilling operations.
• Assist with site setup, rig moves, and other operational support tasks to maintain smooth workflow.
• Perform routine inspections, maintenance, and troubleshooting of drilling equipment to minimize downtime and maximize productivity.
•  Achieve daily and project production targets while maintaining high safety and operational standards.
• Support team members and contribute to a safe, organised, and productive work environment.

Qualifications / Requirements

• Proven experience operating raisebore rigs in underground or surface mining projects
• Australian citizen or permanent resident
• Pass pre-employment medical, drug & alcohol screening
• Police clearance within 6 months
• First Aid Certificate (or willing to obtain)
• White Card
• Manual Driver’s Licence
