We are looking for an experienced Safety Advisor with at least 3+ years of experience ideally in multi-residential, hotel, health and accommodation construction. This role will see you working initially on a project the inner suburbs of Brisbane. 

About you:

To be successful in this position you’ll be highly motivated, adaptable and will thrive in building relationships with others.  You will of course have safety at the forefront and experience in implementing and managing safety and environmental processes on construction sites. Commercial construction experience with a Tier 1 or Tier 2 commercial builder is preferred. 

Based on site, you will work with a project team as a key part of the site team. You’ll be supported to grow and develop your career from your very first day with BADGE.  You’ll need a sense of humour, a desire to follow our systems and procedures, and you should definitely bring a ‘can do’ attitude.

You must also be computer literate and have a good understanding of construction processes. A certificate or diploma in Work Health Safety would be advantageous.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Management of safety and environmental processes
  • Providing your project team with coaching and support in the implementation of the company’s safety and environmental management systems
  • A sound knowledge and understanding of the implementation of relevant QHSE legislations and requirements
  • Undertaking all safety inductions for workers on site including but not limited to reviewing SWMS and JSAs
  • Hosting and minuting Safety and Toolbox meetings with Subcontractors
  • Monitor and review our software to ensure all incidents are recorded, investigated thoroughly and closed out
  • Monitoring subcontractor compliance
