Band 3 – salary from $86,266 + super (final offer based on skills and experience)
TasNetworks is seeking a highly organised and proactive Project Construction Coordinator to support the delivery of the North West Transmission Developments (NWTD) program, one of Tasmania’s largest and most significant infrastructure investments. In this role, you will work closely with the General Manager Construction and the broader Construction Delivery Team to provide critical coordination, reporting, governance and operational support that keeps the program running efficiently and effectively.
Acting as a central connector across Substations, Transmission Lines and Commissioning workstreams, you will help coordinate communications, manage key project registers, facilitate meetings and transform project information into meaningful insights that support informed decision-making. Your contribution will be instrumental in ensuring strong governance, effective collaboration and successful construction delivery outcomes.
What you'll do
As the Project Construction Coordinator, you will provide critical operational, governance and coordination support to the General Manager Construction and the broader Construction Delivery Team. Acting as a central point of connection across the Substations, Transmission Lines and Commissioning workstreams, you will facilitate communication, coordinate contractor interactions, organise leadership meetings and workshops, and ensure actions, priorities and deliverables are effectively managed and followed through to completion.
You will also play a key role in maintaining construction delivery registers, supporting reporting and governance processes, coordinating team logistics, and working closely with Project Services and Project Controls teams to ensure consistent data standards and quality information. Through strong organisation, attention to detail and a continuous improvement mindset, you will help streamline team processes, improve reporting practices and provide meaningful insights that support informed decision-making across the NWTD construction program.
About you
You are a highly organised project professional who enjoys bringing structure, coordination and clarity to complex programs of work. You thrive in fast-paced environments, have a keen eye for detail and are confident working with a diverse range of stakeholders. Whether coordinating meetings, managing project information or supporting governance activities, you take pride in making things run smoothly and enabling teams to perform at their best.
You will bring:
- Demonstrated experience in a project services, project coordination, PMO, project controls or analytical support role.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and competing deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong analytical capability and the ability to interpret project information and present meaningful insights.
- High proficiency in Microsoft Excel and reporting tools such as Power BI and project management systems.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to data quality and governance standards.
- Experience maintaining project registers, coordinating meetings and supporting governance activities.
- A proactive, solution-focused mindset with a continuous improvement approach.
- The ability to work both independently and collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams.
Desirable:
- Experience supporting large-scale infrastructure or capital delivery projects.
- Knowledge of project management methodologies such as PMBOK, PRINCE2 or Agile.
- Experience contributing to PMO, governance or continuous improvement initiatives.
