What’s on offer?
Bring your organisational skills, communication strengths and commercial mindset to a role that sits at the heart of how Fulton Hogan wins and delivers major civil and infrastructure projects.
We’re looking for a Procurement Coordinator to support our Pre-Contracts and Estimating teams by coordinating subcontractor procurement during the tender phase. You’ll be the key link between our estimators and the subcontractor market, helping to ensure we submit competitive, compliant and well-supported tenders.
Day to day, you will:
- Use Felix to issue trade packages, coordinate quotation requests and track responses for the Pre-Contracts/Estimating team.
- Review and equalise subcontractor quotes, assessing price, scope and commercial terms to recommend the most suitable tenderers.
- Be responsible for ensuring market coverage and competitive pricing is received for active tenders and projects.
- Actively follow up subcontractors and suppliers.
- Coordinate and chair procurement meetings for live tenders, clearly communicating status, risks and outstanding items.
- Support the submissions team with procurement insights and data for tender documentation.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with subcontractors, acting as a key link to the downstream market during tenders and onto project delivery.
How will you connect to the role?
You may currently be working with a Tier 1 or Tier 2 civil contractor in a pre-contracts, estimating, procurement or commercial role or in a comparable sales or procurement role in a different industry and are now looking to specialise in tender procurement coordination.
You will bring:
- Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills, to be confident with internal stakeholders and subcontractors.
- Excellent organisation and time management, comfortable managing multiple packages and deadlines.
- An adaptable, proactive approach, thriving in a fast-paced, bid-driven environment with shifting priorities.
- An ethical, commercially astute mindset, committed to fair and transparent procurement.
- A collaborative attitude, contributing positively to team culture and working closely with Pre-Contracts/Estimating colleagues.
- Experience on large civil or infrastructure projects, with sound knowledge of subcontractor and supplier markets is preferable but not essential as on the job training will be provided.
- An understanding of civil scopes of work to follow what’s being procured, respond to basic subcontractor queries and support estimators is preferrable but not essential.
