About the role
Multiworks Australia is seeking an experienced Plant & Logistics Coordinator to join our team based in Brooklyn, Victoria. This is an excellent opportunity for a highly organised and proactive individual to play a key role in ensuring our yards, plant and logistics operations run smoothly and efficiently. Working closely with the Assets & Logistics Manager, you will coordinate plant deployment, maintenance scheduling, utilisation reporting, asset records and logistics activities to ensure projects have the right equipment, in the right place, at the right time. You will also provide critical support across yard operations, including managing urgent plant and breakdown issues when required.
Key responsibilities
- Coordinate plant and equipment deployment across project sites
- Maintain accurate asset registers, plant records and administration systems
- Track plant utilisation, job costing and cost allocations in collaboration with Finance
- Manage purchase order compliance and support accurate financial reporting
- Coordinate maintenance schedules and ensure servicing compliance requirements are met
- Respond to plant breakdowns and urgent logistics issues, escalating where required
- Support day-to-day yard operations and provide coverage when the Assets & Logistics Manager is unavailable
- Build and maintain strong relationships with project teams, suppliers, transport providers and equipment hire partners
- Identify and implement process and systems improvements across plant and logistics operations
- Coordinate the annual asset auction process and asset disposal activities
- Monitor equipment movements and ensure assets are correctly allocated to projects
- Maintain compliance with company policies, procedures and safety requirements
What we’re looking for
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in the plant, construction, logistics or infrastructure industry
- Minimum 3 years’ administration and coordination experience
- Strong organisational and time management skills with exceptional attention to detail
- Experience managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced operational environment
- Strong stakeholder management skills and ability to build positive working relationships
- Proactive, self-motivated and capable of working independently
- Comfortable managing competing demands and responding to urgent operational issues
- Strong systems and IT skills, with 3-5 years’ experience working across digital platforms and business systems
- Demonstrated ability to coordinate plant, equipment or logistics operations
- Positive, solutions-focused attitude with a commitment to teamwork
- Ability to work effectively across operational, project and finance teams
- Current Australian Driver’s Licence
- Ability to travel between the yard and project sites as required
- Comfortable working in an outdoor yard environment and undertaking occasional manual handling tasks
- Experience with Workbench, Upvise or similar asset management systems is advantageous
