About the Role:
Based (preferably) in north-east Victoria, you will be joining a collaborative and dynamic state Operations team that strives for excellence and smart delivery. We are looking for a confident, solutions driven, highly capable leader to add to the diverse skillset of our operations leadership team and help shape the future of centres within both regions.
Reporting to the State Manager, your key focus will be on driving the financial and operational performance across a portfolio of 18 centres spanning across Northern and Eastern Victoria (13 centres) & Hobart and Launceston in Tasmania (5 centres).
You will take a hands-on approach to your leadership with regular centre visits across your portfolio in Victoria, including flight travel to Tasmania every 2 months for approximately one week at a time (ideal frequency) - an opportunity to engage with your teams in-person and make a meaningful impact. Bring your ideas, drive improvement, and steer the ship on operational success across these areas.
Exceptional leadership, including proven leadership capability in managing remote teams, is essential – you will lead and manage human, physical, and financial resources to ensure our operations run seamlessly. You will also play a key role in fostering a safe and positive working environment while ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.

Key responsibilities include:
- Effectively lead, motivate and manage Centre teams to achieve optimal sales objectives, customer service levels and set business objectives.
- Overall responsibility for achievement of financial budgets and profitability of all Centres in your operational area.
- Ensure your Centres are achieving across financial performance metrics, including sales and KPI targets
- Provide coaching, guidance and feedback to continually develop Centre teams
- Oversee and ensure effective resourcing and recruitment of all Centre teams
- Provide accurate and timely reporting to Management on Centre activities and performance
- Ensure all Centres are compliant with Work Health & Safety regulations and requirements
- Foster a success-oriented culture of accountability where resources are used effectively and efficiently to achieve stated objectives.
About You:
- You are based in north-east Victoria and willing to travel to centres in your operational area as required.
- Effective leadership and people management skills, including building and maintaining great team culture.
- Demonstrated success in an Operational/Area Management role in a medium-large organisation or similar (previous experience in the retail space is highly advantageous).
- Proven leadership capability in managing remote teams.
- Strong experience in the recruitment and development of sales people.
- Strong business and financial acumen including analysing complex financials, developing effective reports, and building effective strategies.
- Ability to effectively coach and mentor team members, with a sound understanding of best practice performance management.
- Ability to build trusting and authentic relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Excellent communication skills across all levels of the organisation.
- Exceptional organisational skills with the ability to self-manage time and work under pressure to meet deadlines.
- Good knowledge of Work Health & Safety regulations
