Reporting directly to the Director of Operations SA/WA, the Operations Manager provides clinical operations leadership and support to our General Managers in South Australia.
The key focus of the role will be to:
Provide strong leadership and coaching to the General Managers & Care Managers to ensure quality resident services, clinical compliance, business and people objectives and implementation of operational plans.
Anticipate future trends and implications accurately. Articulate credible vision that will create sustainable value.
Ensure compliance with Aged Care and other relevant legislation.
Establish a continuous improvement mind-set to ensure current systems are achieving compliance, consistency and sustainability.
Provide guidance and direction to General Managers and Care Managers to develop relationships with external providers, hospitals and placement agencies to maintain home occupancy and commercial key performance indicators.
Exemplify strong leadership and provide guidance, coaching and feedback to promote development of team members.
To be successful you will need:
Relevant tertiary qualification/s in management or business (Desirable)
Registered Nurse (Essential)
Sound experience working in a senior capacity in aged or health care
Demonstrated experience in operational management including human resources, people leadership & motivation, budgeting, service delivery
Strong troubleshooting & multitasking skills
Broad understanding of the legislation, regulations and requirements and issues affecting aged care.
Demonstrated ability to provide leadership and motivation for staff involved in the provision of services to aged care residents
Commercial acumen
Demonstrated ability to empower staff to accept responsibility through effective guidance and support
Demonstrated ability to take initiative and remain highly motivated
Excellent verbal and written communication style – able to communicate effectively at all levels
Excellent computer skills
High organisational skills and ability to effectively manage and prioritise multiple tasks and meet deadlines
Solution focused – excellent problem solving and analytical skills
Valid working rights in Australia
Complete a police check
NDIS workers check (or willingness to obtain prior to commencement)
