Operations Manager

The Role

We are currently seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead our Sydney warehouse operations based in Glendenning, NSW.

As the Operations Manager, you will be responsible for the day‑to‑day leadership and performance of the Sydney warehouse team. You will play a critical role in driving safety, service, productivity, and team engagement while ensuring delivery on time outcomes for our customers.

Reporting to the Regional Operations & Project Manager, this is a hands‑on leadership role suited to someone who thrives in a fast‑paced, operational environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, supervise and coordinate warehouse employees, including direct reports and casual labour
• Drive safe, efficient and productive work practices while fostering a positive team culture
• Achieve Delivery on Time (DOT) targets and optimise daily workloads and picking line
• Conduct toolbox talks, pre‑starts, goal setting and performance reviews
• Manage onboarding, timesheets, leave and incentives through Employment Hero
• Ensure compliance with WH&S policies, procedures and legislative requirements
• Act as a safety mentor and lead safety initiatives across the site
• Oversee warehouse systems and WMS accuracy, including picking, packing, replenishment, audits and stocktakes

Skills/Experience

• Proven experience managing or supervising a warehouse or distribution team
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate, engage and develop others
• Customer‑focused with a hands‑on, solution‑driven mindset
• Ability to work autonomously while collaborating with senior stakeholders
• Sound understanding of WH&S requirements in a warehouse environment
• Comfortable working in a physically demanding role and varied warehouse conditions
• Valid Forklift Licence
• Experience operating forklifts or reach trucks
