Help shape the safety performance of some of Australia's most significant infrastructure projects, including Cross River Rail, Logan and Gold Coast Faster Rail, major rail signalling programs, tunnel infrastructure and hyperscale data centre developments, with further major project opportunities on the horizon.
This is a rare opportunity to provide strategic HSE leadership across a national portfolio of projects and approximately 600 employees, partnering with executive and project leaders to manage critical risk and drive safety performance.
Brisbane, Sydney or Melbourne based, with regular national travel.

About the Role
Lead HSE strategy across UGL's national portfolio of major rail, road, tunnel and data centre projects.
This is a highly influential role partnering with General Managers, Project Directors and operational leaders to manage critical risk, shape business decisions and support project teams across a portfolio of live infrastructure projects nationally.
Key responsibilities
Lead HSE strategy, governance and assurance across a national major projects portfolio.
Support and develop project HSE teams across multiple projects and locations.
Partner with executive and project leaders to improve safety performance and manage critical risk.
Lead significant incident response, investigations and organisational learning initiatives.
Drive continuous improvement, assurance activities and implementation of UGL and CIMIC HSE programs
About You
- Senior safety leadership experience across major rail, road, tunnel or infrastructure projects, either in a portfolio leadership role or within a major project environment.
- Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders and drive safety performance across complex project portfolios.
- Strong knowledge of WHS legislation, risk management and safety management systems.
- Relevant HSE qualification, with incident investigation credentials.
- Collaborative, calm and pragmatic leader with strong communication and relationship-building skills.
