About Us

We are the not-for-profit organisation appointed to manage and grow QLD’s Containers for Change refund scheme. Since 2018 we’ve kept over 12 billion containers out of landfill, returning over $1 billion in 10c refunds to Queenslanders! From driving sustainability and innovation to creating real impact in communities, our team is united by a shared commitment to making a difference by increasing circularity outcomes and ensuring no container goes to waste. Watch the video above to hear from our COEX team and why we’re proud to be part of the change.

The Role

As our Mobilisation Coordinator, you’ll provide day-to-day coordination and support of new vendor applications to ensure the successful delivery of new and existing Container Refund Point (CRP) sites across the scheme. Reporting to our Network Mobilisation Manager, you’ll play a key role in supporting the mobilisation lifecycle, ensuring applications, processes, and stakeholder engagement activities are managed efficiently.

In this role you will:

  • Manage CRP applications end-to-end, including due diligence checks, evaluation preparation, and coordination of evaluation and panel meetings
  • Support procurement and mobilisation activities, ensuring processes are followed and timelines are managed in a timely manner
  • Maintain accurate project documentation, schedules, and tracking systems to monitor application progress, risks, and milestones
  • Coordinate stakeholder engagement activities, including communication with applicants and preparation of reports, submissions, and meeting materials
  • Contribute to continuous improvement by identifying process efficiencies, supporting program planning, and maintaining risk and issue registers

Who You Are

Our values are at the heart of our culture. We’re looking for people who share these and are eager to be part of a team that brings them to life. You share our passion for sustainability and bring:

  • Proven experience in project coordination or program support within a fast-paced and dynamic environment
  • Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with strong attention to detail
  • Experience using project management tools and systems, with a continuous improvement mindset
  • Eligibility to hold a Blue Card and maintain a satisfactory criminal history check

We are committed to fostering a welcoming and equitable workplace where people from all backgrounds can thrive. We encourage applicants from diverse communities including people with disability and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples to reach out if they have questions about the recruitment process or about working with us.

COEX has been certified as a Great Place To Work® and recognised by Diversity Council Australia as an Inclusive Employer, reinforcing our dedication to maintaining an inclusive and supportive organisation.
