We are seeking a qualified Mining Electrician to join the Underground Maintenance Team in Broken Hill. In this role, you’ll be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and servicing electrical systems across underground mobile plant and fixed equipment to ensure safe and reliable operation of the mine.
This position is residential only—ideal for someone looking to be part of the local community and enjoy a stable lifestyle without FIFO rotation.
Diagnose, repair, and maintain underground electrical systems and equipment
Conduct scheduled servicing, fault finding, and breakdown response
Perform component change-outs and ensure all work meets site safety and compliance standards
Collaborate with the mechanical and production teams to minimise downtime
Maintain accurate maintenance records and adhere to all site policies & procedures
NSW Electrical licence / full certification (essential)
Experience working with underground mobile plant or heavy industrial electrical systems
Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
Solid commitment to safety and quality workmanship
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced underground environment
