Description
Wood is currently sourcing Expressions of Interest for an experienced Mechanical Supervisor to support a potential short-term shutdown in Port Campbell, commencing early April.

The Mechanical Supervisor will provide day to day supervision of the Mechanical and Piping teams in the delivery of work, to meet safety, operational reliability, quality, financial and productivity targets.

Providing supervision of multiple activities and work groups ensuring consistency, efficiency and continuous improvement of delivery.



Responsibilities

To contribute to excellence in service delivery to the client through:

  • The provision of leadership and supervision of the Mechanical / Piping disciplines, ensuring the delivery of the shutdown activities in line with safety and quality requirements. 
  • Participation in the effective planning, scheduling and coordination of the shutdown activities, completing work as required and ensuring shutdown objectives are met within the required timeframes
  • Ensuring duties are performed in line with both Wood’s and the clients’ HSE programs


Qualifications

What makes you remarkable? 

  • National Recognised Trade Certificate
  • Experience in Oil & Gas
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently with good initiative and interpersonal skills
  • Understand, work to and ensure the compliance with the clients’ Permit to Work System
  • Ensure all SWMS (Safe Work Method Statements) are developed, reviewed and understood and all associated paperwork is satisfactorily completed
  • Ensure timely resolution of safety issues and provide communication and consultation of safety related matters with work teams
  • Maintain a zero tolerance for unsafe acts or behaviours and implement and deliver the Just and fair culture process as required
  • Direct and assign the appropriate resources to complete tasks to ensure delivery of quality work and to avoid rework
  • Prioritise, schedule and monitor works undertaken by trades, optimising the use of resources to provide timely and cost-effective services
  • Demonstrated ability to interface with the client to understand requirements.

The successful candidate will undergo medical checks and will be required to provide certificates and tickets.
