About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Maintainer to join the Maintenance team based at our Kwinana Pigment Plant, approx. 35-minute drive south of Perth on a Permanent full-time basis!
Our Mechanical Maintainers play a vital role in ensuring the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of mechanical plant and equipment across our Pigment Plant. This position involves both preventive and corrective maintenance activities to maintain optimal plant performance and equipment reliability.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform both scheduled and reactive maintenance on a wide range of plant equipment.
- Carry out the removal, installation, maintenance, and overhaul of rotating equipment, pumps, piping systems, compressors, heat exchangers, steam equipment, and pressure vessels.
- Identify and report equipment defects, and recommend improvements to existing systems, methods, and procedures.
- Take a proactive approach to preventive maintenance, and ensure all breakdown repairs are completed to a high standard of workmanship.
- Accurately complete all maintenance documentation to ensure detailed and reliable data is recorded in Tronox’s Maintenance Systems.
- Foster a strong safety culture through active participation in hazard identification, risk assessment, and incident reporting.
- Communicate effectively and collaborate within a multidisciplinary team environment.
- Assist plant operators as required, including preparing and isolating equipment for maintenance.
- Record process information and identify opportunities to enhance equipment performance and plant efficiency.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Mechanical Trade Certificate – Fitting (essential)
- Understanding of maintenance and production priorities and requirements.
- Experience in fault finding and repairs to hydraulic systems.
- Strong decision-making skills and the ability to work independently when required.
- Team-oriented with a flexible approach, willing to work additional hours when necessary.
- A strong commitment to safety practices.
- Clear demonstration of following Tronox Values.
- Current unrestricted Driver’s Licence
- Willingness to work shift rosters as required
