Pearl Recruitment is seeking an experienced Mechanical Fitter for an immediate-start position at a local industrial plant based in Welshpool. This is an ongoing maintenance opportunity for our client who are a well-established engineering and maintenance provider.

$55.00 - $60.00 /hr + Super 
Monday to Friday, 6:00am - 2:30pm
Immediate Start | Long-Term Opportunity

The Role: This position will suit an experienced Mechanical Fitter with previous plant maintenance experience who is looking for stable, long-term work within a local industrial environment. Your duties will include:

• Complete preventative and breakdown maintenance across plant machinery and equipment
• Diagnose mechanical faults and carry out repairs as required
• Maintain and repair conveyors, pumps, bearings, gearboxes, drives and other mechanical equipment
• Remove, replace, fit and align mechanical components
• Assist with equipment installations, shutdowns and general maintenance activities
• Identify worn or damaged components during inspections

 
To Be Successful, You Will Require:

• Australian-recognised trade qualification as a Mechanical Fitter (Boilermakers with fitting experience also welcome to apply)
• Previous experience working within an industrial plant, processing, manufacturing or similar maintenance environment
• Ability to work independently as well as within a maintenance team
• Current Driver's Licence and reliable transport
• Ability to pass a pre-employment Drug & Alcohol Screen
• Unrestricted Australian working rights
• Genuine interest in a stable, potentially long-term position
• Working at Heights ticket, Confined Spaces ticket and Forklift Licence (or willing to obtain)
