Maintenance Works Scheduler

Road Asset Maintenance

A specialist infrastructure services contractor is seeking an experienced Works Scheduler to support the delivery of civil and ITS maintenance programs across a long-term road asset management contract in Sydney.

The Works Scheduler ensures efficient, timely delivery of planned maintenance and special projects by developing and maintaining optimised schedules. The role coordinates daily workloads, monitors progress, and implements contingency plans to meet performance targets. You'll work across delivery, environmental, asset, and stakeholder teams to keep programs on track and drive continuous improvement in scheduling practice.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate day-to-day scheduling and workload forecasting for civil and ITS maintenance programs
  • Develop and maintain maintenance schedules for planned works and special projects
  • Ensure Work Orders align with allocated resources, are achievable, and are sequenced to minimise customer impact
  • Schedule and track KPI/performance-linked jobs to meet contractual obligations
  • Liaise with delivery teams, the environmental team, the asset team, and customer/stakeholder teams to support coordinated program delivery
  • Contribute to planning analysis and work allocation decisions
  • Prepare accurate work estimates as required
  • Report incidents to team lead promptly
  • Review existing scheduling processes and identify improvements

About You

  • Certificate III in Construction or similar (favourable)
  • 2โ€“3 years' experience in a comparable scheduling or works coordination role
  • Background in road or civil infrastructure maintenance (required)
  • Familiarity with road asset management systems and network works delivery in NSW (favourable)
  • Proficiency in MS Project or equivalent scheduling tools (highly regarded)
  • Current driver's licence
