What you will be doing & delivering 

The Maintenance Trade Assistant role is based at our Tatura site and supports the upkeep of plant, equipment, and buildings by assisting with maintenance tasks, preventative servicing, and workshop operations. The role helps ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to standard, while maintaining records, supporting inventory control, and contributing to a clean, compliant, and well‑functioning maintenance environment. 

• Assist with maintenance tasks on plant, equipment, and buildings to ensure safe and reliable operation. 
• Support preventative maintenance by completing scheduled servicing and routine checks. 
• Operate tools and equipment safely and correctly as required for maintenance activities. 
• Maintain workshop inventory by reporting stock levels, parts usage, and material needs. 
• Provide emergency and on‑call support during alarms or urgent breakdowns. 
• Update maintenance records in MEX to ensure accurate tracking of work completed. 
• Promote continuous improvement by suggesting better ways of working and supporting change initiatives. 
• Maintain safety standards by reporting hazards, using PPE correctly, and keeping the workspace clean. 
• Any other tasks as requested.

You contribute with attention to detail, the ability to follow instructions, and willingness to support team. Your positive attitude, readiness to assist during changing priorities, and commitment to maintaining high quality of service and deliverables make you a valuable part of the maintenance team. 

Here’s what will help you succeed: 

Qualifications & Experience:  

• Current Drivers Licence  
• Basic Electrical Knowledge/aptitude (focus on low voltage DC systems)  
• Mig and/or Arc Welding Knowledge  
• Forklift Licence (desirable)
