Heritage Minerals is coming back to life, restoring the rattle and hum of 30 years past.

As we continue the restart of the historic Mount Morgan Gold Mine, we are seeking Expressions of Interest from experienced Maintenance Fitters and Associated Trades personnel to support the establishment and ongoing operation of our workshop and fixed plant maintenance teams.

This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a growing operation from the ground up, helping ensure the reliability, safety and performance of mining equipment, infrastructure and processing assets. We are looking for motivated, safety-focused tradespeople who take pride in their workmanship and enjoy working in a collaborative team environment.

Opportunities may be available across a variety of trades and maintenance disciplines, including:

• Fixed Plant Fitters
• Boilermakers
• Diesel Fitters
• Trades Assistants
• Electricians
• Leading Hands and Supervisors

As Heritage Minerals continues to ramp up operations, these roles will initially commence on a casual Monday to Friday roster while maintenance systems and infrastructure are established. Over time, successful employees will then transition into permanent positions as the operation moves into full production.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform preventative, predictive and breakdown maintenance on fixed and mobile plant equipment.
• Diagnose mechanical faults and complete repairs in a safe and timely manner.
• Conduct inspections and condition monitoring of equipment and plant assets.
• Complete maintenance work orders and documentation accurately.
• Ensure all maintenance activities comply with site safety and operational procedures.
• Assist with equipment rebuilds, shutdown maintenance and commissioning activities.
• Identify defects, hazards and opportunities for improvement.
• Maintain a clean, safe and organised workshop environment.
• Work collaboratively with operations, maintenance and technical personnel.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment reliability and availability.

About You

To be successful in these opportunities, you will demonstrate:

• Previous experience in mining, heavy industry, fixed plant, workshop or maintenance environments.
• Strong troubleshooting and fault-finding skills.
• Commitment to workplace health, safety and environmental standards.
• A proactive approach with a strong work ethic and attention to detail.
• The ability to work effectively both independently and within a team.
• Good communication and problem-solving skills.
• Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic operational environment.
• A positive attitude and commitment to achieving maintenance and reliability targets.

Essential Requirements

• Relevant Australian Trade Qualification (where applicable).
• Current Australian Driver Licence.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment medical, including drug and alcohol screening.
• National Police Check (or ability to obtain one).
• Full Australian working rights.
• Strong commitment to safe work practices.

Desirable Qualifications & Experience

• Experience within mining, mineral processing or heavy industrial operations.
• High Risk Work Licences (Forklift, EWP, Dogging, Rigging, etc.).
• Confined Space Entry and Working at Heights certifications.
• Welding and fabrication experience.
• Hydraulic and pneumatic maintenance experience.
• First Aid Certificate.
• Experience with CMMS systems such as Pronto, SAP or similar.
• Supervisory or leadership experience for leading hand and supervisor roles.
