Macadamia Farm Management is a leader in large-scale macadamia nut production. We are seeking a Machine Operator and an Irrigation Assistant to join our Maryborough team in casual roles with potential to go permanent.
About the Roles:
Machine Operator
- Operating macadamia harvesters, slashers, mowers, sprayers, spreaders and other machinery
- Driving quad bikes and farm buggies
- Cleaning, greasing and basic maintenance of equipment
- Using GPS and autosteer systems (training provided)
- Assisting with harvest and general orchard duties
Requirements: Prior machinery operation experience (agriculture preferred), mechanical aptitude, physically fit, QLD Driver’s Licence.
Irrigation Assistant
- Monitoring and operating irrigation systems, pumps and filters
- Checking and maintaining irrigation lines and emitters
- Fertigation tasks
- General orchard maintenance and manual labour
- Supporting harvest operations when needed
Requirements: Experience with irrigation or plumbing advantageous, strong attention to detail, physically fit, QLD Driver’s Licence.
Common to Both Roles
- Willingness to work outdoors in varying conditions, including day and night shifts during harvest
- Permanent working rights in Australia
