Mine Vehicle Builds & Refurbishments
We're looking for an experienced Light Vehicle Fitter to join our growing workshop team. This is an excellent opportunity to work on specialised Toyota LandCruiser mine spec builds, repairs, refurbishments, and custom vehicle modifications in a modern workshop environment.
Responsibilities
About the Role
As a key member of our workshop team, you will be involved in a range of mechanical and fabrication tasks, including:
- Building new Toyota LandCruiser mine spec vehicles for mining and industrial sites across Australia.
- Mechanical assembly and accessory installation.
- Collaborating with Auto Electricians on integrated mechanical and electrical vehicle builds.
- Servicing, repairing, and refurbishing LandCruisers returning from site.
- Fabricating and welding brackets and custom components to suit specific build requirements.
- Mentoring and supporting apprentices while maintaining high workmanship standards.
- Maintaining a safe, clean, and organised workshop environment.
Qualifications
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Trade qualifications as a Light Vehicle Mechanic/Fitter.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
- A commitment to producing high quality work and taking pride in the finished product.
- Welding and fabrication experience (highly regarded).
- A sound understanding of automotive electrical systems and the ability to work closely with Auto Electricians.
- The ability to read and interpret build specifications and technical drawings.
- Strong problem solving skills and a proactive approach.
- The ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- A commitment to workplace safety and quality standards.
