An opportunity now exists for an Inventory Controller to join our team at the Darwin site.

Reporting to the Cold Room Manager, this position is responsible for the inventory management of products into and out of our Distribution Centre. The role is a blended hands-on role with early morning starts Monday to Friday (Occasional weekend and public holiday work may be required).

The main responsibilities include but not be limited to:

  • Liaise with the site planner to monitor stock levels ensuring they are adequate to meet sale requirements
  • Continual review of stocks and stock levels to reduce write-offs
  • Forklift operation, receiving of inbound deliveries and replenishing of the pick locations
  • Ensure company products are correctly received, stored, recorded and allocated in a sound, saleable condition.
  • Perform counts and carry out inventory control, stock balances and reconciliation on DC related inventory, daily, weekly, monthly via SAP.
  • Monitor stocks and use-by-codes in alignment with shift activity, maintaining customer service.  
  • Manage Pallet and crate stocks/accounts and tracking assets and upload reports as required
  • Investigation of discrepancies with correct costs center allocations administered.
  • Invoicing morning outbound activities and processing of orders to ready work for picking
  • Reviews of fast / slow moving and identified problem SKU’s carried out on a regular basis with recommendations implemented for corrective actions.

About You:

  • Experience in a fast-paced FMCG environment
  • Previous experience with SAP
  • Sound understanding of Inventory Management best practice
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills
  • High level of Attention to Detail and analytical mindset
  • Ability to able to problem solve and work autonomously
  • Excellent Excel and reporting skills
  • A forklift license is required with experience of forklift operation in a warehouse setting.
