About the Role

The Inventory Controller is responsible for all aspects of inventory control systems and processes, including the management of extraordinary freight movements, stocktakes, inventory reviews, reconciliations, and reporting.

The role is responsible for the effective and timely coordination of inventory control activities to ensure stock accuracy, process compliance, and operational efficiency. Approximately 50% of the role is warehouse-based, conducting stock checks, cycle counts, and inventory audits, with the remaining 50% office-based, investigating inventory discrepancies, analysing stock issues, and improving inventory control processes.

A current HR Forklift Licence is a mandatory requirement, along with demonstrated experience completing safety start-up checklists.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, coordinate and report on cyclic stock counts to meet monthly and annual KPI targets

  • Investigate and reconcile inventory discrepancies with a strong focus on accuracy

  • Conduct inventory reviews and recommend stock holding and min/max improvements

  • Maintain inventory catalogues and ERP system data integrity

  • Process supplier purchasing, customs and freight documentation through ERP systems

  • Coordinate freight movements and support import activities with freight forwarders

  • Maintain warehouse servicing, safety and housekeeping records

  • Prepare and maintain warehouse performance reporting and KPI data

  • Support continuous improvement initiatives within warehouse operations

About You

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

  • Previous experience in inventory control, warehousing or logistics

  • HR Forklift Licence is a must!

  • Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy

  • Experience working with ERP systems such as SAP, Pronto, Epicor or similar

  • Intermediate Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel and Outlook

  • Strong organisational and time management skills

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills

  • The ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment

  • A proactive mindset with a strong customer service focus

  • Commitment to workplace safety and continuous improvement
