THE OPPORTUNITY

With a growing number of projects, Dematic is expanding our Belrose team, we are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Industrial Electrical Fitter to join our factory team at Belrose.

The Industrial Electrical Fitter is responsible for installing, assembling, maintaining, testing, and repairing electrical systems and equipment within industrial environments. This role plays a critical part in ensuring machinery and electrical installations operate safely, efficiently, and reliably, while meeting all relevant standards, regulations, and safety requirements.

The position requires strong technical expertise, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to fault-finding and preventative maintenance.

  • Typical hours of work: Mon – Thurs 06:00am  - 2:30pm, Fri: 6:00am – 12:00pm

  • Opportunities for overtime: occasional weekend or overtime work depending on project deadlines

Tasks and Qualifications:

WHAT YOU WILL BE WORKING ON

  • Install, assemble, and wire industrial electrical equipment, machinery, and control systems

  • Read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and technical manuals

  • Perform fault finding, diagnostics, and repairs on electrical systems

  • Install and terminate cables, switchgear, motors, sensors, and control panels

  • Conduct routine maintenance and preventative inspections on electrical installations

  • Test electrical systems using appropriate tools and instruments

  • Ensure compliance with electrical codes, safety standards, and company procedures

  • Collaborate with engineers, supervisors, and other trades on installation and maintenance work

  • Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used

  • Follow workplace health and safety regulations at all times

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

  • Trade qualification: Industrial Electrician (or equivalent)

  • Valid Electrical license

  • Proven experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment

  • Strong understanding of industrial electrical systems and control equipment

  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical drawings

  • Knowledge of electrical safety standards and regulations

  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

  • Attention to detail and high standard of workmanship

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

  • Good communication skills

  • Time management and ability to meet deadlines

  • Physically capable of performing manual tasks in industrial environments

  • Australian Citizenship or Permanent Residency
