Hydraulic Fitter

Our client is a well-established engineering company specialising in the repair, maintenance and refurbishment of hydraulic and heavy industrial equipment. Due to continued growth, they are seeking an experienced Hydraulic Fitter to join their workshop team in Welshpool.

The Role
Working within a well-equipped workshop, you will be responsible for the diagnosis, repair, overhaul and assembly of hydraulic equipment and heavy machinery components while ensuring all work is completed safely and to the highest standard.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose faults and carry out repairs on hydraulic and mechanical equipment.
• Assemble, overhaul and repair hydraulic cylinders and associated components.
• Perform repairs and maintenance on heavy industrial equipment.
• Complete Strip & Check inspections and accurately report equipment condition.
• Maintain a high standard of workmanship and attention to detail.
• Adhere to all safety procedures and workshop quality standards.
• Contribute to maintaining a clean, organised and efficient workshop.

About You To be successful in this role, you will possess:

• Trade qualification in Mechanical Fitting or a related discipline (essential).
• Proven experience assembling, servicing and repairing heavy equipment.
• Excellent diagnostic and fault-finding abilities.
• Strong knowledge of hydraulic systems and hydraulic cylinder repairs.
• Experience repairing rock breakers or similar equipment (advantageous but not essential).
• Current Forklift Licence.
• Strong commitment to workplace safety.
• High attention to detail and pride in producing quality work.
• Good level of physical fitness with the ability to perform manual and repetitive tasks.

Working Hours
Monday – Thursday: 7:00am – 5:00pm
Friday: 7:00am – 2:30pm
Saturday: 7:00am – 12:00pm (optional)
