HVAC Service Technician

HVAC Service Technician โ Commercial | Perth Metro
$50-$65 per hour + super | Brand new company vehicle | Overtime that actually pays
Local work, quality sites, and a business with enough contracted volume to keep you busy without sending you to the other side of the state every second week.
Why this one is worth a look
You're on the tools across commercial services in the Perth metro โ national retail brands, high-rise buildings, shopping centres, and health and hospital sites. Enough variety that you're not doing the same call-out on repeat, close enough to home that you're back for dinner.
There's also a pipeline of tenders in play, so the work isn't reliant on one contract holding up.
What's on offer
- $50-$65 per hour + super, based on experience
- A brand new, fully maintained company vehicle
- $150 on-call allowance
- Time-and-a-half and double time on weekends, with genuine overtime available for those who want it
- Company phone, uniforms and all PPE supplied
- Flexible start and finish times โ the day gets planned around the run, not the clock
- Occasional regional and remote work when it comes up (metro is the norm)
- Commercial HVAC service, maintenance, breakdowns and repairs
- A small amount of refrigeration work
- A small amount of fire services work
- Fault diagnosis and repair recommendations on site
- Clear reporting and straight communication with clients and the office
This is as much about attitude as it is about years on the tools.
If you're recently out of your trade but you can already run a job on your own, make a call without ringing the office three times, and you want to be taught the rest properly - you're exactly who we want to talk to.
If you're mid-level with commercial experience under your belt, the top of the band is there for you.
You'll need:
- A relevant trade qualification (refrigeration and air conditioning)
- A current WA driver's licence
- Strong communication - this is the one that matters most; you're in front of clients every day
- A willingness to take on overtime and be flexible with start and finish times
- The ability to work unsupervised and manage your own run
Plenty of ads offer a ute and a phone. Fewer offer a new vehicle, an on-call allowance, penalty rates that are actually paid, and a metro-based run on sites worth working on.
If you're currently doing residential and want to move into commercial, or you're in commercial and getting paid like it's 2019 - this is a straightforward step up.
