Position summary
The Human Resources Manager leads Willyama’s strategic HR operations, organisational development, and workplace governance. Serving as a trusted partner to executive leadership, this role focuses on strengthening company culture, managing employee relations, driving performance, optimising HR frameworks, and ensuring regulatory compliance. This role can be performed on a part-time or full-time basis.
Responsibilities:

Employee Relations & Advisory: Act as a trusted advisor to leadership and staff on workplace matters, managing dispute resolution and conducting objective investigations to deliver fair outcomes

Operational Excellence & HR Optimisation: Refine and oversee end-to-end HR workflows, governance standards, and employee lifecycle procedures to drive organisational effectiveness

Organisational Culture & Engagement: Lead company-wide engagement initiatives, champion workplace diversity, and actively embed Willyama’s core values across all levels of the business

Compliance, Policy & Governance: Direct the development and regular review of HR policies to ensure full alignment with Australian employment law, Fair Work regulations, and modern awards

Performance & Capability Frameworks: Drive performance management cycles, goal-setting processes, and career development structures to maximise employee capability, growth, and retention

Compensation & Benefits: Oversee competitive and equitable reward structures, salary frameworks, and retention strategies to ensure market alignment and internal fairness

Talent Strategy Oversight: Maintain strategic governance over talent acquisition and resourcing, aligning hiring activities with organisational objectives

Workplace Safety & Psychosocial Wellbeing: Oversee Work Health and Safety (WHS) compliance and maintain psychosocial safety frameworks to mitigate workplace risk, support mental health, and foster a positive safety culture
Knowledge, skills and experience:
- Extensive experience in HR leadership roles, with a proven track record managing end-to-end HR operations, organisational governance, and strategic workforce planning
- Comprehensive knowledge of Australian employment legislation, Fair Work frameworks, WHS standards, and modern awards
- Demonstrated experience designing, refining, and maintaining high-performing HR frameworks, policy standards, and governance models
- Proven leadership capability with a strong track record of advising senior executives and shaping organisational strategy
- Strong coaching and stakeholder engagement skills, with proven experience building relationships across all levels and managing complex workplace matters
- Tertiary qualifications in HR, Business, or a related field, as well as AHRI accreditation (desirable)
- Current Australian Government security clearance or ability to obtain and maintain (desirable)
