We’re looking for an experienced HR Operations Manager who can partner closely with leaders, navigate complex IR/ER matters, and lead a capable HR advisory and recruitment team. This is a hands-on leadership role where you’ll influence real workforce outcomes across a national industrial business.
The Opportunity

As HR Operations Manager, you’ll provide practical advice to leaders across the business, manage complex employee relations matters, and ensure HR processes run smoothly and compliantly across our operations.
Based in Ingleburn this full-time permanent role supports operations nationally and works closely with General Managers and senior leaders to guide people decisions across a large industrial workforce.
You’ll also lead and mentor a capable team of HR Advisors and recruiters, helping them deliver practical support to the business.
What You’ll Be Doing
• Partner with leaders to manage employee relations and workplace issues
• Provide practical advice on performance management and people matters
• Support leaders with IR matters including Enterprise Agreements and union engagement
• Ensure HR policies, procedures and employment obligations are applied consistently
• Act as the escalation point for complex employee relations matters
• Oversee HR operations and support effective use of systems such as Dayforce
• Lead and develop a capable HR advisory and recruitment team
• Support workforce planning, recruitment and organisational changes
• Maintain compliance with employment legislation, awards and internal policies
About You
You’re a confident HR professional who enjoys working closely with operational leaders and providing clear, commercially sensible advice.
You bring:
Strong HR foundations
A degree in HR, Employment Law, Business or similar, with senior HR experience.
IR / ER expertise
Comfortable navigating awards, enterprise agreements and complex workplace matters.
Commercial judgement
Able to balance operational priorities with compliance and risk management.
Leadership capability
Experience leading or mentoring HR Advisors or similar HR team members.
Practical mindset
You focus on solutions and support leaders to manage their teams effectively.
Experience in mining, engineering, manufacturing or industrial environments will be highly regarded.
