The Role
This is a key role responsible for driving governance, risk, and compliance across the business. Partnering closely with the Executive team, you will play a critical role in ensuring regulatory compliance, enhancing risk frameworks, and supporting strategic decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
Governance
·Maintain and enhance governance frameworks and policies
·Support Board and executive reporting processes
·Provide governance advice to senior stakeholders
·Own the enterprise risk management framework
·Maintain risk registers and key risk indicators (KRIs)
·Lead risk reporting to executive and committee forums
·Embed a strong risk culture across the organisation
Compliance
·Ensure compliance with ASIC, AUSTRAC and AML/CTF obligations
·Manage regulatory relationships and reporting requirements
·Oversee compliance monitoring, breaches, and audits
Policies & Controls
·Develop and maintain internal policies and control frameworks
·Support audit readiness and external reviews
·Deliver compliance training and awareness initiatives
About You
·5-10+ years’ experience in risk, compliance, or governance within financial services
·Experience in non-bank lending or credit highly regarded
·Strong knowledge of Australian regulatory requirements (ASIC, AML/CTF, Privacy)
·Proven ability to build and improve GRC frameworks
·Excellent stakeholder engagement skills, including exposure to executive or Board-level communication
·A proactive, hands-on approach with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
