Forklift Operators Wanted for Citrus Season

We are seeking experienced Forklift Operators to join our team for the upcoming citrus season in Cobram, Victoria.

About the Role

These roles are based in a busy fruit packing facility and will suit experienced operators who are reliable, calm, safety-focussed and comfortable working in a fast paced production environment.

These roles are essential for ensuring the efficient movement and handling of citrus products within our production facility. Successful candidates will play a vital role in maintaining our operational standards and supporting our production goals during this busy period.

Responsibilities

• Forklift operation within a citrus packing and storage facility
• Loading and unloading trucks and production machinery with pallets and fruit bins
• Movement of fruit and packaging materials within the facility
• Safely loading cool rooms, pallet racking and the mezzanine floor
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies while operating machinery
• Working collaboratively alongside packing, quality and logistics teams
• Conduct routine checks and maintenance on forklifts. Report issues promptly
• Assist in inventory management by accurately tracking and reporting stock levels
• Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth workflow and timely completion of tasks
• Adhering to all food safety and workplace safety requirements

What We’re Looking For

• Current LF forklift licence is required.
• Proven experience operating a forklift (packing shed, warehouse or similar environment preferred)
• Comfortable working seasonal hours, including peak production periods
• Strong safety awareness and good communication skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
• Reliable transport and a strong work ethic
• Respectful behaviour and a positive attitude
• Current Australian Work Rights – we are not offering sponsorship for this role
