Foreman

We have an exciting opportunity for a Foreman to join the team at Caulfield Racecourse on a full-time basis.

This is a hands-on role where no two days are the same. You'll work alongside a passionate crew to keep our racing and training tracks performing at their best, lead day-to-day operations, operate specialised machinery, and play an important part in delivering exceptional race days and training experiences.

In The Saddle

• Maintaining racing and training tracks to meet Racing Victoria standards
• Supporting turf management activities including mowing, irrigation, fertilising, aeration and general track repairs
• Assist with race day preparations, including barrier placement, track crossings, and surface inspections
• Provide hands-on support during trials, jump-outs, and daily training operations
• Supervise staff and contractors, ensuring safe and high-quality work while supporting the development of junior team members
• Operating and maintaining a range of specialised turf machinery and equipment

Your Track Record

• Qualifications in Turf Management, Horticulture, Agronomy, or a related field (desirable)
• Strong knowledge of turf and track surface management
• Experience working within a racing club or governing body (desirable)
• Excellent communication skills
• A strong focus on safety, quality and attention to detail
• Valid Driver’s Licence
