Fixed Plant Mechanical Fitter

This is a great opportunity for a skilled Mechanical Fitter looking for an ongoing 2:2 roster.

THE ROLE
You will be responsible for carrying out mechanical maintenance, repairs and servicing across site equipment, ensuring machinery remains safe, reliable and operational.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform preventative and breakdown mechanical maintenance
• Carry out inspections, repairs and servicing of mining equipment
• Fault-find and diagnose mechanical issues
• Complete mechanical installations, repairs and component change-outs
• Read and interpret technical drawings and manuals
• Work safely and efficiently in line with site procedures
• Maintain high standards of workmanship and housekeeping
• Work collaboratively with maintenance and site teams

ABOUT YOU
To be successful, you will have:

• Australian-recognised Mechanical Fitter trade qualification
• Previous experience in a mining or fixed plant environment
• Strong mechanical maintenance and fault-finding skills
• Experience working with fixed plant/heavy equipment
• Strong commitment to safety
• Ability to work effectively within a team and independently
• Relevant mining tickets and site experience highly regarded
• Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and drug & alcohol screening
