We currently have an exciting opportunity for two experienced Mechanical Fitters to join our team on a casual basis, based in Altona, Victoria.
In this role, you will be working afternoon shifts and will be responsible for carrying out mechanical maintenance, repairs, and assembly activities while maintaining a strong focus on safety, quality, and productivity.
Key Responsibilities:

Manufacture products with a high degree of skill and abide by customer contract specifications

Ensure works are completed within the time allowed at the required quality and quantity

Ensure that all work undertaken complies with company Quality Assurance procedures and workmanship standards

Take responsibility for the output and quality of work performed

Ensure all documentation and certification is completed correctly

Display safe work practices, sound problem-solving skills, and demonstrate initiative

Demonstrate sound machining skills.

Work both unsupervised and part of a team, adhering to strict deadlines
-
Perform general fitting duties

Participate in rail industry-specific safe work training
This role will report to the Supervisor East.
About You
Essential Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
• National relevant Trade Recognised qualification
• High Risk Licence (Forklift, Dogging, Rigging and Overhead Crane)
• Post Trade modules in pneumatics/Hydraulics
• Knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety Regulations.
• Sound general engineering knowledge.
• Ability to work unsupervised and adhere to strict deadlines
• Strong communication skills both verbal and written

• Previous rollingstock experin
