Position Details

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Finishing Foreman to join our construction team at Palm Lake Resort, Forster Lakes. This is a Full-Time Fixed-Term (1 Year) position, working 38 hours per week between 6am - 5pm Monday to Friday.

 

As the Finishing Foreman you will lead and coordinate all finishing trades while overseeing maintenance, repairs, and safety to ensure construction projects are completed to the highest quality and standards. 

Responsibilities:

  • Managing contractors & trades to deliver high-quality project outcomes on time, to specification & in compliance with building codes and regulations;
  • Monitor project progress, manage materials and equipment, and liaise with project managers, contractors, and suppliers to ensure deadlines are met;
  • Conduct site inspections to ensure compliance with quality, safety, and building standards and identify maintenance & repair needs.
  • Perform and oversee building maintenance, repairs, and preventative maintenance across building systems and infrastructure.
  • Basic administration, including inventory, ordering & maintenance records.

To succeed in this role, you will bring:

  • Strong residential construction knowledge & understanding of BCA requirements

  • Trade qualification (Preferably Carpentry)

  • 3-5 years experience as Finishing Foreman or Maintenance (preferably in residential sector)

  • Current C, MR or HR Driver Licence
  • Current HRWL Forklift ticket, White Card & First Aid Certificate
  • Proven ability to motivate, lead and manage teams, trades and subcontractors

  • Experience coordinating resources and managing a high volume of homes under construction

  • Sound understanding of Workplace Health & Safety requirements

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Excellent problem solving skills, with the ability to work independently.
