What’s on offer?

At Fulton Hogan, we know the numbers matter. But what matters just as much is how you work with people. We’re looking for a Financial Analyst to join our Corporate Finance team in Richmond, Melbourne; someone who brings strong technical capability, but who also builds trust, asks the right questions and can turn complex analysis into clear, practical insight for non‑finance leaders.

Reporting to the Group Corporate Finance Manager, this is a role for a commercially curious analyst who enjoys partnering with the business, not working in isolation.

What you’ll be doing

In this position, you’ll support research and analysis for strategic projects, capital investment decisions and long‑term planning across our Australian and New Zealand operations. You’ll work closely with the Group Corporate finance team and the business to help shape good decisions and disciplined outcomes.

Key aspects of the role include:

  • Building and reviewing financial models for capital projects, investments and strategic initiatives (including NPV, IRR, sensitivities and scenarios)
  • Developing forward‑looking analysis that goes beyond historical reporting to support future decisions
  • Supporting valuation, project management and due diligence activity using agreed Group frameworks
  • Translating complex financial information into clear, practical insights for senior leaders
  • Partnering with stakeholders across the business to understand drivers, risks and opportunities
  • Contributing to consistent tools, templates and ways of working across Corporate Finance

How will you connect to the role?

You hold a degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field, and have completed or are currently pursuing a professional qualification (CA/CPA/CFA).

You will bring a solid foundation in corporate finance/M&A, financial modelling and investment analysis, with at least 3-year experience in a corporate or professional services setting, building robust three‑way models and applying tools such as NPV, IRR and scenario analysis to capital projects and strategic initiatives.

You’ll be comfortable working with forward‑looking analysis, valuations and business cases aligned to Group frameworks and risk settings. Just as importantly, you’ll know how to apply this technical expertise in a practical way, focusing on the commercial drivers that matter, maintaining discipline and transparency in your work, and providing analysis that stands up to review while genuinely supporting better business outcomes.

While strong technical capability is important, what really matters in this role is how you work with people. Success comes from building trusted relationships across finance and operations, listening first, and applying sound judgement in complex situations. You’ll need to be comfortable engaging with leaders who don’t speak “finance”, translating complex analysis into clear, practical insight that supports good decisions. A collaborative approach, curiosity about the business, and a genuine desire to help others succeed are essential. We value people who challenge respectfully and bring stakeholders along the journey rather than working in isolation.

At Fulton Hogan, we’re proud of our values‑led culture, down‑to‑earth, practical and relationship‑driven. You’ll work with people who care about doing the right thing, supporting each other and delivering long‑term value for the business and our communities.

If you’re an analyst who enjoys blending strong technical capability with trusted business partnering, we’d like to hear from you.

Our people share the same set of values that keep us REAL. Respect, Energy and Effort, Attitude and Leadership encapsulate what we stand for at Fulton Hogan and encourage us to foster a diverse and inclusive culture where we listen to, care for, celebrate, and respect everyone.

We are committed to reconciliation and building and nurturing respectful relationships with First Nations peoples. Through our First Nations Engagement Strategy and Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP), we aim to promote opportunities, cultural understanding and partnerships that celebrate and acknowledge the contributions of Indigenous communities.

If our values resonate with you, please submit an application for the position. If you’re not sure that you meet 100% of the selection criteria, that’s okay, we would still like to hear from you and potentially discuss how your skills could be utilised at Fulton Hogan.
