FIFO Hospitality Allrounders

ESS provides multi-service capability to major companies and organisations operating in remote sites, gold mines and coal fields. We provide vital workplace support for people working in some of the most isolated terrains in the world, from oil rigs in the North Sea to gold mines in the Australian Outback.

We are seeking Hospitality Allrounders to work across kitchen/dining, housekeeping and mine site cleaning on a 14 day on, 7 day off roster, working 10 hour days.

This is a permanent position and either FIFO ex Brisbane or drive-in, drive-out for locals from Roma, Miles, Chinchilla and surrounding regions.

Flights ex Brisbane, accommodation and meals supplied.

The Position

• Kitchen and Dining Attendant: Your tasks will include but not limited to; Cleaning the kitchen, dish/pot wash, rubbish removal, restocking food items, cleaning kitchen equipment, mopping/scrubbing floors, chemical handling, stock unloading, cleaning dining rooms, restocking bar/drink items, vacuuming/mopping, till operation, serving drinks
• Mine Site Cleaning: Your tasks will include but not limited to; Cleaning offices, cleaning toilet blocks, cleaning tea shacks, rubbish removal, restocking and cleaning crib huts, stripping & sealing, chemical handling.
• Housekeeping: Your tasks will include but not limited to; Making linen packs, scrubbing bathrooms, cleaning toilets, changing bedsheets, making beds, restocking linen trolleys, dusting, mopping, vacuuming & other various tasks

The Person

• Hospitality, kitchenhand, commercial cleaning or housekeeping background required
• Ability to work long shifts (10 hour days) in a fast-paced environment
• Drivers license and own reliable transport (desirable)
• Be flexible and adaptable to work across the Utility roles when required
• RSA (desirable, but not essential)
• Ability to work within a team and autonomously 
• Physically fit with the ability to pass a medical and drug/alcohol screen
