Field Service Technician - VIC

Our client is a market leading supplier of Industrial Compliance and Inspection equipment. At this time we are looking to add an experienced Field Service Technician to the team, to support an impressive existing installation base and Install new equipment in the field.

On a daily basis you will be working with a wide range of technologies including laser, x-ray, weighing, ink jet systems, labeling equipment, thermal printing, vision systems etc. as well as customised software and IT solutions.

Duties will include but not be limited to:

• Installation and commissioning of new projects.
• Trouble shooting equipment in the field and the workshop.
• Preventative maintenance programs.
• Assisting the sales team with demonstrations.
• Customer training .

Ideally the successful applicant will be experienced in a comparable role or has worked with similar equipment in a manufacturing environment. However it will be your ability to demonstrate the following skills and attributes that will carry the day:

• You are trade qualified or hold tertiary qualifications in an electronic or mechatronics discipline.
• Competency in troubleshooting and repairing technical equipment.
• Strong analytical skills.
• Good computer and IT skills and an understanding of industrially networked systems.
• An ability to work under pressure and display excellent customer service.
• A strong eye for detail and a determination to do it right the first time.
• Experience with one or all of: weighing, x-ray, laser, vision, ink jet or labeling system etc, would be highly regarded.
